April and Mike's first meeting was definitely a "meet-cute". In case you are not obsessed with the movie "The Holiday" like John and I are, a "meet cute" is the cute way a future romantic couple meets in a romantic comedy. In the case of April and Mike, it went like this: April had moved to Boston and had a new puppy, Brewsky. She was taking Brewsky out one afternoon when Mike spotted her from his apartment and noticed that she and Brewsky were entering his building. So, he got out his keys and went into the hallway, pretending to be unlock his own door. He struck up a conversation with her, and the rest is history!
April and Mike got married last weekend, and it was no coincidence that they got married on the weekend of the Boston Marathon. They met on the weekend of the marathon, and it holds a very special place in their hearts. Mike completed the Boston Marathon in 2011 and April completed it in 2012. She told me how the sharpie marker had just recently faded from her bicep where she had written her name, and how cool it was when the bystanders cheered her on by name. That spirit and camaraderie is something that no act of evil can take away from the amazing city of Boston.
We feel so lucky to have been a part of April and Mike's special day at the always gorgeous Saltwater Farm Vineyards. It was a day full of love, laughter and happiness.

And then Mike got out his guitar and serenaded April with the Lumineers. The guys provided the "hos" and "heys" while Mike sang "I belong with you. You belong with me. You're my sweetheart." It was so sweet and awesome!
