Last week, I took the boys to the Mystic Seaport Museum. It was a slightly chilly and overcast day, but it was spring break, and we were going to make the most of it. And the Mystic Seaport is such a fun way to spend the day! Every time we go there, we seem to discover new things.
One of our favorite exhibits is a fifty foot scale model of the Mystic River area in the 1850’s.

Also really cool is the Charles W. Morgan restoration. It is out of the water on scaffolding and you can actually climb a really large set of stairs for a tour. Alex had to conquer his fear of heights for this one. It is amazing how high it is!

In one of the homes, the woman was making potatoes wrapped in pancakes over the fire.
