Ok, let me tell you something about myself. I hate to have my picture taken. Ironic, I know. But I am far more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it. I can totally empathize with those who consider themselves less than photogenic. So when John said it was time to do some headshots for our redesigned website, I was skeptical.
Luckily for me, there are several things that help make a good portrait, and I had the benefit of all three. 1. A photographer that can put you at ease (in this case, my talented husband, John) 2. Some beautiful light, and 3. The Nikkor 85mm 1.4D lens. I swear, I am in love with that lens.
In addition to the shot we featured on the blog, I thought I would share some of my favorites. (Can you believe it? I had several!)

And nothing makes a picture better than a cute boy…

And this was my favorite of the day.

Thanks, John! You’re awesome. You made being on the other side of the lens fun.
