A long time go, when my sister-in-law Elaine told me that she wanted to be a nurse, I thought, “Yup.” It just seemed natural, like it was what she was born to do. And she has lived up to those expectations, always going above and beyond for her patients. So I wasn’t too surprised to find out that she was being awarded the Nightingale Award for Nursing Excellence. But I was still very proud!
Congratulations, Elaine. You so truly deserved to be honored! What would the world be like without wonderful nurses like you!
And to all nurses out there, thank you for everything you do.
